The Lefkas International Folklore Festival is the most important event of all the year with international Folk groups coming to Lefkada from around the world. The festival takes place during the last week of August, from one Sunday to the other Below is the link for more information.

IONIAN REGATTA
Kite Surf Competition in the summer
At winter there is the Lefkadian Carnival, followed by the Easter celebrations.
CINEMA
There is an open air cinema in Lefkas, movies are generally in the original language with sub-titles in greek.
- MUSEUMS -
PHONOGRAF MUSEUM
In the pedestrian area of Lefkas (Agora’). Displays a collection of Gramophones and musical instruments and many objects of the Island folklore.
ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The Archeological museum is also in Lefkas, inside the Town Hall. The museum displays a rich collection of archeological objects covering a vast historic period. Completed with maps of the ancient centres of Lefkas. To not miss for those interested in archeology
FOLKLORISTIC MUSEUM
In a side way near the central square in the pedestrian area is probably the most exiting visit of all. A number of articles on display showing how life was here in the old times. Not to be missed. Here is a video of this museum:
