By Car
From Italy there are ships from Brindisi, Bari, Ancona and Venezia. Some ships are very modern with all the comforts of a cruise ship adding more interest to the trip.
The nearest port for Lefkada is Igoumenitsa at about 1 and half hour drive. The port of Patra is at about 2 and half hours drive, but the city is beautiful and sometimes can be convienient for example if you wish to sleep more on the Superfast Ferry Bari-Igoumenitsa-Patra. Lefkas is linked to the mainland by a mobile bridge (free of charge). From Igoumenitsa follow for Lefkas, tunnel fee for Preveza tunnel about 3 euro.
From Patra follow for Agrignio, then Amphilochia, Vonitsa and Lefkas, fee Rio bridge (impressive) 10 euro circa.

Lefkas can be reached from
Cefalonia porto Fiscardo (north Cefalonia) and SAMI there are regular links by ferries.
From Sweden, Norway, Denmark
There are other flight to AKTIO (Preveza) from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Slovenia.
